Pop-Up at Plaza de Cesar Chavez
Groundswell was commissioned by the Knight Foundation, Adobe and the City of San Jose to create an experiential light show and public space in the city's historic Plaza de Cesar Chavez. For nine days leading up to Super Bowl 50, the park's trees were filled with an animated LED display to delight visitors all day long. The activation also included a pop-up beer garden, a rotating selection of food trucks and a variety of lawn games. A tyke-sized football field was also a hit, as some NFL players from the Panthers stopped by occasionally to practice with the kids.
