MISSISSIPPI RIVER PARK

Mississippi River Park is a key public space on the downtown Memphis riverfront. Building off of the existing assets and uses of the site, the design—an elevated treehouse and pavilion made of repurposed shipping containers—maintains open green space, highlights river views and embellishes the rolling topography near Riverside Drive. The design builds upon the community’s existing uses of the space, to extend the potential and adaptability of the River Garden for the city of Memphis.
